An etching intaglio impression from an edition of 200 signed and numbered prints in sepia toned ink on Arches Cover paper. A moment at a wedding, one of many that the artist had witnessed in his Shtetl of Kazimierz Dolny, Poland. The scene depicts the joy and happiness of the wedding simcha in the Shtetl. Friends of the groom would dance in twos or more in the same area where the Chuppah had taken place. Exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution,Washington, DC during a One Man Show in 1973. Exhibited during a series of three museum shows in Poland between 2013 and 2016.
Image size: The entire edition is from the second state number on a copper plate,11¼” x 14½” with nice margins, on Arches off-white trimmed wet sheet. Signed and numbered impressions were pulled by the artist himself on his Rembrandt hand-cranked press.
